We hiked & tent-camped south and central Texas, March, 2010: 2-days at Padre Island National Seashore, 1-day at Goose Lake State Park, 3-days at Garner State Park and 2-days backpacking Pedernales Falls State Park. Highlights include: endangered Whooping Cranes, the Texas Champion Live Oak, the Texas Champion Ashe Juniper, 1870's artifacts from immigrant settlers, beautiful scenery, and numerous wildlife.
