First of all, what part of town will you be visiting? Houston is about the size of Rhode Island (greater Houston is analogous to Connecticut). That would help.
If it were me, I’d go to Expedia (they’ve worked well for me) and enter the zip code of where I’d be staying. You’ll be able to find all kinds of hotels.
Try hotels.com and yes you need to know what area. You dont want to stay on the Nroth side near the airport if you have business downtown. Houston is HUGE!
You can get the cheapest hotel
by searching hundreds of websites at once.
Whenever you need to get the cheapest airline,
hotel or rent-a-car, go to the following page that is
issue-oriented and has no stupidity, then You will be able to
find the cheapest one in the US.
You don’t have to go here and there to find them.
try Homewood Suites…(by Willowbrook Mall)
it is a nice hotel…it makes you feel like you are at home..
they have an indoor pool, indoor hot tub, business center (with computer, printer and fax), free breakfast, basketball and tennis court and inside the room there is a kitchen, living room, bedroom and in some there are two bedrooms….they have BBQ grills on site…it is right across the street (walking distance) from Willowbrook Mall and not that that far from other shopping centers…the hotel staff will go grocery shopping for you, all you have to do is make the list and pay for your groceries of course…
And the staff is really nice…
My family and I stayed at Homewood during our summer vacation…it was nice…
I would try priceline.com if you’re not picky on an exact location or hotel chain.. daily room rates on all houston hotels have risen over the years to where its around $150-$200/nite for something along the line of a Hilton or Marriott. Even Hampton Inns and Courtyards by Marriott are around $120-$150/nite.. I’ve used priceline for both Marriott, Hyatt, and Hilton stays and have gotten really good deals on them.. sub $100 stays.
